Terms of Service

These terms of service are being finalised with legal counsel. The content below outlines our key terms. A full legally reviewed version will replace this prior to public launch.

1. Service Description

Practora is a cloud-based practice management platform designed for South African general practitioners. It provides patient management, clinical decision support, document generation, compliance tracking, and related healthcare administration tools.

2. Clinical Responsibility

Practora is a clinical decision support tool. It does not diagnose, prescribe, or replace professional clinical judgement. All AI-generated suggestions, including ICD-10 codes, clinical recommendations, lab interpretations, and motivation letters, must be independently verified by the treating healthcare practitioner. The healthcare practitioner retains full clinical and legal responsibility for all patient care decisions.

3. Account Responsibilities

  • The practice administrator is responsible for managing team member access and permissions
  • Each user must have their own login credentials. Sharing credentials is prohibited
  • The practice is responsible for the accuracy of patient data entered into the system

4. Data Ownership

All patient data entered into Practora remains the property of the subscribing medical practice. Practora acts as a data processor on behalf of the practice (the data controller) as defined under POPIA.

5. Service Availability

We aim for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible. Practora is not suitable as the sole repository for critical medical records; practices should maintain appropriate backup procedures.

6. Limitation of Liability

Practora provides tools and information to assist healthcare professionals. We are not liable for clinical decisions made using information from the platform, AI-generated content that is acted upon without independent verification, or data loss resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

7. Subscription and Payment

Subscriptions are billed monthly. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Upon cancellation, practices may request a full data export before their data is deleted.
